The Angry Duck project was a complete website with a logo and illustration. All that was provided to begin the project was a domain name and a simple idea of what sort of content the site would have. They requested some kind of illustrated duck for the logo and mascot, so I started with some sketching. I took the initial sketch into illustrator and created a cleaned up vector version of the duck.

The logo

The logo and color scheme was inspired by the 80′s movie “Howard the Duck”. I took the font color and fun elements to it and applied it to the logo. I decided on a dark blue for the background to show some contrast.

The Website

The website was designed to house a large number of thumbnails on the home page. Each thumbnail would open on a separate page which had some voting functionality, commenting, and related photos based on category and keyword.
